A recent comprehensive study has shed light on the prevalence of various skin disorders among individuals aged 18 to 60, revealing a list of 20 common afflictions that affect millions across the nation. From the bustling streets of urban centers to the tranquil villages nestled in the countryside, these skin conditions permeate every corner of the country, affecting people from all walks of life.

The burden of skin diseases in India has seen a concerning rise, contributing nearly 1.79% to the global disease rate. Recent data paints a stark picture: a staggering 40.1% of males and 23.7% of females grapple with various skin disorders. These statistics underscore the urgent need for heightened awareness, early detection, and effective management strategies to address the growing prevalence of skin ailments nationwide.

Environmental factors like pollution, ultraviolet exposure, and global warming are contributing to a rise in photosensitive skin disorders such as tanning, pigment darkening, sunburn, skin cancers, and infectious skin diseases.
